‘The Flint Street Nativity’  By  Tim Firth

After a fabulously successful Pantomime, it’s onwards and upwards for SADS as we plan ahead for our spring production.

Yes, with a Christmas theme, ‘The Flint Street Nativity’ by Tim Firth, is a very funny observational play following the fortunes of a class of primary children as they prepare for and perform their school nativity play.

There is a big difference in this Nativity play and the one you may have watched your children or grandchildren in.  All of the children are played by adults!

Rehearsals start on Monday January 4th  in Swanmore Village Hall at 7.30 and we look forward to welcoming all newcomers, if you would like to be involved then now is the best time to join.

We have lots of very talented members and friends, but what we really need is some young blood. We need new people, aged 16 and over, 20s 30s and 40s to join us and give the society another 56 years of bringing enjoyment to our community.

Do you sing, play an instrument, ‘act the goat’, or generally like to show off? Then you’re the sort of person we need.

Do you like painting, building things, making things from other things or are you generally crafty? Then you’re the sort of person we need.

Don’t sit at home on a Monday evening, have a break from the children, come and join us on Monday 4th January at 7.30pm and have a laugh, some of us even ‘Do the pub’ afterwards for a ‘bonding beer’!

So come on Swanmorians, we know you’re out there, ‘lets be ‘aving you’.

Many thanks in anticipation,

Lesley Preedy  President of SADS
